The vehicle is delivered to the hirer in good running condition and is subject to an inspection test upon rental. The hirer shall return the vehicle to Majestic Cars in the same condition at the end of the hire term. The hirer agrees to take proper care of the vehicle, and will also be responsible for any tools, tyres, car documents or accessories which are missing upon return of the vehicle. In the event of any fault, defect or malfunction of the vehicle, it must be reported immediately to Majestic Cars, and if of a serious nature the vehicle must not be driven at all.
On renting the vehicle any part of the day will count as a full day. The level of fuel should be returned same as when the vehicle was rented out to the hirer. Failure to do so will result in a charge for the missing fuel. The Full rental cost is payable in advance or upon delivery of the vehicle. Unless the vehicle is returned on time and according to the rental details on the signed contract, the hirer is liable to be charged of excess hour(s). If the hirer wishes to amend the rental period while in possession of the vehicle, a verbal notice should be given to Majestic Cars. In case of cancellation, a full day rental cost shall be charged.
The vehicle shall not:
(a) Be driven by any person other than the hirer (s) whose name appear on the signed rental document issued by Majestic Cars.
(b) Be used to carry any greater number of passengers other than which the vehicle is constructed to accommodate.
(c) Be used in contravention by of any law or so as to cause damage or risk to the general public, the vehicle or its occupants.
(d) Be used for speed racing, testing, to propel or tow any other vehicle or trailer.
(e) Be used to transport goods in violation of customs regulations or in any other illegal manner.
(f) Be used by any person under the influence of alcohol, drugs or any other substances impairing consciousness or ability to react.
(g) By any learner driver or any person under the age of 21 years.
The hirer is insured against third party limited personal injury damage and limited property damage. The hirer bearing the first €1500 or $2000 for each and every claim.
The third party risk insurance covers only passengers and not the driver of the hired vehicle. Please note that damages caused due to statement (f) above are not covered.
The hirer has an option of paying for the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) at the cost of an extra €10 or $15 per day. If such has been paid, in the event of an accident whereby the hirer is at fault, the hirer is liable to pay only an excess of €1000 or $1500. On the contrary, if the damages caused where due to driving on an unsealed road or driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, the hirer may be liable to pay up to €5000 or $5500
The Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is not refundable and does not cover the following:
(a) Cost of transportation and/or towing of the vehicle to the workshop
(b) The time of immobilization of the vehicle while being repaired.
(c) The loss suffered by depreciation of the damaged vehicle.
In case of any accident in which the vehicle is damaged or caused damages, the hirer shall inform Majestic Cars immediately and have the case investigated on the spot by the local police. Under no circumstances should the vehicle be moved. The hirer is further required to make a statement in writing and sketches of the accident. The hirer should avoid making any verbal or written promises without first informing Majestic Cars. The hirer shall not without prior consent of Majestic Cars undertake any repairs or replacement of spares caused by the accident.
The hirer will be legally responsible for traffic offenses and penalties caused during the period of hire. The hirer will park at their own risk and liable for any damage. The vehicle should be securely locked at all times when left unattended.
Majestic Cars shall not under any circumstances be liable to make any payments to the hirer in respect of, or to indemnify the hirer against any loss, injury or damage sustained by the hirer or by any third party as a result of use of the vehicle or as a result of any defect caused due to negligence of the hirer. Majestic Cars will not take any liability for loss of and damaged to any property left or stored in the vehicle during rental period or after return of the vehicle to the company.

The hirer will be liable to pay for the loss of key whilst in his possession. Any abnormal damage to tyres other than a puncture will be the responsibility of the hirer. Under no circumstances will the vehicle be driven on a flat tyre, otherwise the hirer assumes full responsibility for any damage whatsoever.
